YEARS. IT’S BEEN SO MANY YEARS. seventeen long ones full of misery   &   dread   ——   the loss of her closest friend etching a permanent scar in memory. after everything that had happened after the genetic opera, mag was surprised to be standing on her own two feet, breathing   &   sight returned despite tearing out her own corneas on stage. irises now returned to their original chocolate hues, the soprano would lay her sights on the woman before her, shock crossing porcelain countenance   ;   attempting to determine if this was a dream. many times she had thought of what a reunion with marni wallace would be like   ——   a fruitless thought, but one she couldn’t help but entertain. despite every single idea that she relived in her mind, now that the opportunity laid there before her she found herself still as a statue. HOW ? how could this be possible ?

FEAR WAS KEEPING HER SLENDER FORM RIGID, unwilling to reach out   &   touch to see if this dream was truly reality. her heart had already suffered so much   ——   as had the rest of her organs   ——   &   she couldn’t take anymore disappointment. wine stained lips would open as if to speak, but no words would dare escape. instead, she would simply gawk at the woman who resembled her friend, memories of happier times flooding her thoughts as she took in the sight. she hasn’t aged a day.
